Artist Statement

I create vibrant free-flowing paintings that are bold in color and statement, mostly reflecting my deep love for animals of all kinds. Painting, creating and crafting put me in a meditative state. I simply love to create. My compositions are clean and straightforward, with a clear point of emphasis. While I gravitate toward bright colors, my focus is primarily on value. I begin with mid-values to establish composition, then deepen the piece with dark values before adding highlights to enhance depth and create focal points. I embrace the philosophy that there are no mistakes in art— every mark contributes to the final piece, guiding it towards its best outcome.
